How to Launch on Microlaunch: The 30-Day Format, Free vs Pro, and the Backlink
Microlaunch is free, and a launch lasts a whole month on a rated leaderboard. Launch Pro ($39) skips the queue and adds SEO pages. How the 30-day format works, what we found on live listings, and when to pay.

Microlaunch is free to launch on, and a launch there lasts a whole month. Products compete on a monthly leaderboard for 30 days instead of a single day, so you don't need a big launch-day crowd. The paid Launch Pro ($39 with the current code, normally $49) skips the queue, adds featured spots and guarantees a dofollow backlink. Launch Plus ($79) adds a mention on X, a Reddit post and extra SEO pages.
Below: how the 30-day format works, what the free and paid launches include, and whether Pro is worth it. Checked on Microlaunch's live pages in October 2026.

What Microlaunch is
Microlaunch is a launch platform built around a monthly round instead of a daily one. Every product launched in a month sits on that month's leaderboard for 30 days, ranked by community scores rather than raw votes. Around the launches it runs a deals marketplace, a community feed, founder stories and sponsored hackathons. In October 2026 it was co-running a hackathon with the payments platform Tiun, with up to $10,000 in prizes.
The audience is indie makers and early adopters who like to try things and leave ratings. That makes Microlaunch more of a feedback venue than a traffic source: you get rated on your idea and your product, and people leave "roasts" (blunt critiques) that stay on your page.
How a 30-day launch works
Microlaunch describes the flow as five steps: submit and get featured, get 30 days of exposure, collect feedback, roasts and testimonials, sell (deals and SEO pages), then relaunch for major releases.

What's different from daily platforms:
- The leaderboard runs all month. You can switch it between Month and Week, with Business and Consumer products listed separately. When we captured it there were 26 days and 20 hours left in October's round.
- Scores aren't just upvotes. Each product shows star ratings for Idea and Product, a maker score and a roast count. Thoughtful reviews from real users move you up more than a burst of votes.
- Product of the Day still exists inside the month, so a good day earns a badge even if you don't win the month.

That suits founders without an audience: you can collect feedback steadily over four weeks instead of rallying everyone in 24 hours.

How to submit
- Sign up from the top-right corner, then click New Launch.
- Add the product basics: name, tagline, website, logo, screenshots and a description, plus whether it's a business or consumer product (they're ranked separately).
- Choose the launch: the free queue, or Pro or Plus to launch immediately.
- Write for reviewers, not voters. Microlaunch's audience scores the idea and the product, so explain the problem, who it's for, and what to try first. A clear "start here" link (a demo or a free tier) earns better product scores than a polished hero image.

Getting the most out of the month
- Week 1: share the listing with existing users and ask for an honest rating, not just an upvote.
- Weeks 2–3: reply to every roast. Founders who take criticism well get noticed, and the replies stay on the page as social proof.
- Week 4: ship one visible improvement suggested by a reviewer, and post about it.
- After: if you ship a major release later, a relaunch (unlimited on the paid packs) gives you another round.
Is the Microlaunch backlink worth it?
We opened the 10 products at the top of Microlaunch's October leaderboard on 5 October 2026 and inspected the Visit Website button. All 10 were followed (rel="noopener noreferrer", no nofollow). Most of those were premium launches, which is expected at the top of the board. Our earlier catalog check of a free listing also found a followed link.
DR 64 is lower than Uneed (76) or Fazier (83), but the page lives for the whole month on an active leaderboard, and Pro adds four SEO pages that each link to you. For a $39 one-time pack, that's several links rather than one.
Traffic is the weaker side. The homepage counter showed 807 daily visitors, about 24,000 a month, across 141 products. SimilarWeb's 93,000 a month includes deals and community pages. Expect a modest number of clicks, and value the ratings and testimonials more.
Is Launch Pro worth it?
For $39, Pro gets you immediate launch timing, two featured boosts, several indexed pages about your product and a guaranteed dofollow link from a 64-DR site. That's fair value if you're launching within the next month and the link matters to you.
Stay free if you're not in a hurry. Microlaunch's audience is small (its homepage showed 807 daily visitors), so judge it as a feedback channel plus a link, not a traffic source. Plus ($79) is mainly worth it for the X and Reddit distribution. Whether 10.2k X followers and a 1.3k-member Reddit community are your buyers decides that.
Pros and cons
Pros
- A month to collect feedback, not a day.
- Ratings and roasts give you real product feedback and quotable testimonials.
- Followed links on the listings we checked, plus extra SEO pages on Pro.
- Unlimited relaunches on the paid packs.
- Business and consumer products are ranked separately.
Cons
- Lower DR (64) than most launch boards.
- Small daily audience (about 800 visitors a day).
- Discount codes and list prices change often, so the price you see may differ.
- Ratings can be harsh. A low product score sits on your page.
Common mistakes on Microlaunch
- Asking for upvotes instead of ratings. Scores come from idea and product ratings. Ask users for an honest rating.
- Ignoring roasts. An unanswered critique reads as a weakness. A good reply reads as a strength.
- No obvious way to try it. Reviewers rate the product, so give them a demo link or free tier.
- Launching on the last days of the month. You lose most of the 30-day window. Launch early in the month.

After launch
- Tag your URL with
?utm_source=microlaunch&utm_medium=launch, then compare signups, not clicks. See measuring directory referral traffic. - Copy the best reviews (with permission) onto your landing page. Testimonials are the most reusable thing a month-long launch gives you.
- Check the backlink with your browser's inspector and track your Domain Rating with our DR checker.
Where Microlaunch fits
Because a Microlaunch round lasts a month, it sits underneath a launch plan: start the month on Microlaunch, then run daily launches on Uneed and Fazier and a weekly one on TinyLaunch inside the same window. See sites like Product Hunt for the full comparison. If you're planning a month of launches, AgentLaunch lists each platform's free and paid route and your AI agent in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor handles the repetitive form filling.
