Field notes
How to Get Listed on SoftwareSuggest: Free Listing, Required Details and Premium Plans
SoftwareSuggest lists software for free. The six-field signup, completing the profile, getting reviews, Gold and Platinum premium plans, and what we found on live pages: Visit Website buttons are sponsored ad links.

SoftwareSuggest lets you list your software for free. Go to softwaresuggest.com/vendors, click Create a Free Listing, and the first step asks for six things: your name, business email, organization, phone number, website and company head office. You then add the product details in the vendor portal. Premium Gold and Platinum listings (6 or 12 months) are sold on request for vendors who want more visibility.
SoftwareSuggest is strongest for B2B software sold in India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Here's what the process asks for, what the free listing gets you, and whether it's worth it. Checked in October 2026.

What SoftwareSuggest is
SoftwareSuggest is a software discovery and review marketplace with a strong following among small and mid-sized businesses in India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Buyers browse "best [category] software" pages, filter by price and deployment, and read reviews. A large part of its business is selling leads and clicks to vendors: pay-per-lead programmes, premium Gold and Platinum listings, combo plans, and a newer "Boost AI Visibility" service.
That shapes how product pages work. The "Visit Website" buttons you see on category and product pages are paid placements that route through SoftwareSuggest's ad system, so they're advertising slots, not neutral links to the product being described.
Step 1: create the free listing

The form has six required fields: Name, Business Email, Organization, Phone, Website and Company Head Office. Use a company-domain email, since free-mail addresses look like spam to their onboarding team. Have your real phone number and head-office city ready. You can't skip them, and expect a call from SoftwareSuggest's team about paid plans.
Step 2: complete the product profile
After Next, you continue in the vendor portal. Fill in everything, because SoftwareSuggest ranks complete profiles higher in category pages:
- Category and sub-category. Choose the most specific category. Many buyers arrive on "best [category] software" pages.
- Description and features. Lead with the problem and buyer, then list features in the order buyers compare them.
- Pricing. Starting price, billing model, free trial or free plan. Price filters drive a lot of discovery.
- Deployment and platforms. Cloud, on-premise, mobile.
- Screenshots and a video.
- Customer types and industries. These feed "software for [industry]" pages.
Step 3: get your first reviews
A listing without reviews sits at the bottom of its category. SoftwareSuggest has a review link you can send to customers, and it awards badges to products with strong ratings. Ask 5–10 happy customers for honest reviews in the first month. Our guide on getting your first software reviews has outreach templates.

What we found on live pages
On 5 October 2026 we opened the Asana product page and several project-management category pages. Every "Visit Website" button pointed to ppc.softwaresuggest.com/... (a click-tracking ad URL) with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener", and the buttons were for advertisers such as Zoho Projects and other paying vendors. Asana's own page had no direct link to asana.com.
So a free listing gives you a page and a place in category lists, not a link. Paid placement buys clicks, marked as sponsored. The same is true across the big review sites:
| Site | DR | Visits/month | Free profile | Link to your site (our check, 5 Oct 2026) | Paid options |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| G2 | 91 | ~2.25M | Yes | No clickable link on the profile we checked | Profile upgrades, buyer intent |
| TrustRadius | 85 | ~290K | Yes | CTA buttons only on paid profiles (followed on the ones we saw) | Premium profile |
| SoftwareSuggest | 77 | ~358K | Yes | "Visit Website" buttons are sponsored nofollow ad links |
Gold, Platinum, pay per lead |
| SaaSworthy | 75 | ~220K | Yes | No link on the pages we could check | Placements, lead targeting |
| SaaS Browser | 74 | ~13K | Claim | "Visit" goes through a nofollow redirect |
Data plans |
| SourceForge | 93 | ~22.5M | Yes | No direct link on the business listing we checked | Promotion |
| Crunchbase | 91 | ~3.2M | Yes | nofollow |

Free vs premium
The free listing gets you a product page, a category placement and reviews. Gold and Platinum are 6- or 12-month premium placements (higher in categories, more profile features), priced on request after a call. SoftwareSuggest also sells pay-per-lead campaigns and an "AI visibility" service.
Our advice: start free, collect reviews, and only consider premium if you sell in SoftwareSuggest's core markets and its category pages rank for your buyer's searches. Search "best [your category] software India" and see whether SoftwareSuggest shows up.
Is it worth it?
For B2B SaaS targeting India and nearby markets, yes. It's a well-trafficked buyer directory with comparison pages that rank. For an indie or developer tool selling mainly to the US, it's a low-priority listing: the link is nofollow and the audience is less likely to be yours.
Writing for SoftwareSuggest's buyers
SoftwareSuggest's buyers are often operations, finance and IT people at small and mid-sized businesses, many in India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, comparing tools by category, price and deployment. A few things help:
- State pricing in a way that's easy to compare: per user per month, annual vs monthly, and whether there's a free plan.
- Mention local relevance if you have it: INR pricing, GST invoicing, data centres in the region, local-language support.
- List deployment options clearly (cloud, on-premise, mobile). Buyers filter on them.
- Name the industries you serve. SoftwareSuggest builds "software for [industry]" pages from it.
After you're listed
- Ask for reviews from customers in SoftwareSuggest's core markets first. They're the buyers who'll read them.
- Check your category pages every few months. If you've slipped below products with more reviews, a small review push usually fixes it.
- Treat sales calls about premium plans as information: ask which categories get the most buyer traffic before deciding anything.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Free listing with a page in category, industry and price lists.
- Strong reach among SMB buyers in India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
- Reviews and badges for highly rated products.
- Paid options if the channel proves itself.
Cons
- No link to your site from a free listing.
- Paid clicks and leads are the main product, so expect sales calls.
- Less relevant for US-focused or developer tools.
- Premium pricing is only on request.
Common mistakes on SoftwareSuggest
- Using a free-mail address. Onboarding treats it as spam.
- Thin pricing information. Price filters drive discovery. State per-user, per-month and free-plan details.
- No industries or deployment options. They feed the "software for [industry]" and cloud/on-premise filters.
- Buying premium before reviews. A promoted profile with no ratings converts badly.
