Glossary
What is a value proposition?
A value proposition is a clear statement of the benefit a product gives a specific customer and why it's better than the alternatives. It's usually the headline and subheadline on a landing page and the first line of a directory listing. Good ones are specific, believable and about the customer's result.
A simple formula
"[Product] helps [specific customer] [achieve result] by [how], unlike [alternative]."
You rarely publish the formula as written; it's a check that you know each part.
