What is a press kit?

A press kit is a page or download with everything journalists, directories and partners need to write about your product: a short description, logos, screenshots, founder bios and photos, key facts and contact details. It makes coverage and accurate listings easier, and keeps your facts consistent everywhere.

What to include

Item Detail
Descriptions One line, one paragraph, one longer version
Logos SVG and PNG, light and dark
Screenshots High resolution, current
Founders Short bios and photos
Facts Founded, location, pricing model, key numbers
Launch news Latest announcement
Contact A real email for press

Where to host it

A /press page linked from your footer, with a zip of assets. Link it from your launch page and directory submissions where relevant.

Why it helps beyond press

The same descriptions and assets are what directories ask for. Keeping one source of truth means every listing, article and database describes you the same way, which helps search engines and AI assistants understand your entity. See building a SaaS launch press kit.

Example

A founder answers a journalist's request with a link to her press page. The article runs the next day with the correct name, logo and description, and links the press page.
